Hello from the Owner, Anita!

Your wedding is a once in a lifetime event!  Here at the award winning* Midnight Sun Cakery I love to meet the challenge of making your special day unforgettable with the perfect center piece of your reception, the cake!  "Wow" your guests with one of The Midnight Sun Cakery's beautiful and delicious creations.  

I personally bake, decorate and deliver each and every cake order.  I've been professionally baking and decorating wedding cakes since 1994 and have a master’s degree in Artistic Design.   I specialize in buttercream icing and decor.  

I love meeting and working with engaged couples to create a truly unique and great tasting design.  We have built a business around giving our clients the personal attention a wedding deserves. I LOVE MAKING WEDDING CAKES!!  

The best part of planning a wedding: Cake Tastings!

We prefer to meet and talk face to face about your wedding. The process begins when you order a sample pack. Our sample packs are 10 different cake flavors and fillings and 2 different buttercreams. Our tasting appointments typically last an hour as you try the samples and we design your dream wedding cake. These appointments are $50

During this consultation, your thoughts and ideas will be sketched to accurately represent the finished product.  You are welcome to bring photos for inspiration but as a true artists I do not copy another artist's work, however I would love to re-interpret designs. I am confident that together we can come up with a design that inspires you.

Book your event early!

We book up many popular summer dates as early as November of the previous year and are usually fully booked for the entire summer by Spring.

We will only take one wedding cake order a weekend and summer dates go quickly!

We recommend if you plan to be married in the summer months, we encourage you to get your order in as soon as possible.  In order to reserve your wedding date, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required.  The balance on the cake is due one month before the event. (see "pricing" page for details)
